The Role
We are seeking a passionate, platform-focused DevOps Engineer who thrives on optimizing infrastructure and working with the latest technology. In this role, you will act as a true Platform Engineer, collaborating closely with a highly skilled, craft-focused engineering team. You will play a key role in refining our developer experience, sharpening our cloud capabilities, and ensuring our systems are robust, scalable, and highly automated.

- Infrastructure Optimization: Streamlining and optimizing our cloud footprint and container orchestration to run highly efficient, resilient workloads.
- Developer Enablement: Building seamless self-service platform tools that empower engineering teams to deploy confidently and rapidly.
- Automation First: Replacing manual tasks with robust infrastructure-as-code, ensuring repeatability across all environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize modern platform infrastructure on Azure.
- Champion and evolve our CI/CD tooling, with a strong focus on Azure DevOps, Git, and GitHub.
- Maintain and scale containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices using Terraform.
- Collaborate with passionate software engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 3+ years of dedicated DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering experience.
- Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure, including core cloud services, identity, and security.
- Strong practical knowledge of Azure DevOps, Git, and GitHub for source control and automated pipelines.
- Hands-on proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Solid scripting and automation skills (particularly Python and shell scripting).
Nice to Have
- Active engagement with the local tech community or a strong passion for exploring emerging open-source technologies.
- Experience with advanced observability and monitoring stacks (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
